Social and Diplomatic Events in Ankara

	Croatia celebrated National Day at Hotel Monec On the occasion of the Statehood Day and the Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Croatia the Ambassador of Croatia Gordan Bakota, his wife Snjezana and Defense Attache Captain Jerko Letica hosted a reception at the nice reception hall of Hotel Monec in Oran. As the Ambassadorial couple will be leaving within this year and as they are one of the most popular among diplomatic corps it was a little heartbreaking for the guests. Headed by Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Oman Mohammed Nasser Al-Wohaibi, many Ambassadors from EU countries and Ambassadors of Libya, Qatar, Algeria, Charge d’Affaires of Egypt were present from the Arab side of the world. Also ambassadors of Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Japan, Italy, Ethiopia, Belgium, Austria, Latvia, the Russian federation, Bulgaria, Kosova and Charge d’Affaires of the British embassy, Slovkia and Poland and many Defense Attache’s were among the crowd. While new Ambassador to Albania Hasan Asan was center of attention also Italian Ambassador's wife Selva Marsili got a lot of attention with her new hair style. Owing to the expertise of Hotel Monec's Chéf Murat Akbas, unlike last years “Persutta” disaster, this year, all the guests had the privilege to enjoy the great Croatian delicatessen. The architects of the event were Ambassador’s Secretary Dilek Kalfa and Embassy’s Driver Necati. The General Manager of Hotel Monec Deger Duni greeted and spent time with each guest.
