Greek Minister-Counsellor hosts dinner to bid farewell to his wife

Dimitris Touloupas, the Minister-Counsellor of the Greek Embassy, hosted a buffet dinner to bid farewell to his wife Chiara who will soon be leaving Ankara.   Mr. Touloupas, whose assignment in Turkey is finishing soon, will join his family in September.

Touloupas couple were one of the most popular couples in town that one always enjoyed the company of and will certainly be missed at social events.

To say goodbye to Chiara, almost all Greek Embassy members headed by Ambassador Fotios-Jean Xydas were present at the event along with counterparts of Touloupas from different embassies.

The surprise guest of the event was former counsellor of the German Embassy Peter Prugel who is now serving at Tel Aviv and who came to take his wife Lucia and their son.    Prugel had to leave his family behind a few months ago until the school year ended.

Touloupas couple, after the catering disappointment of Canadian National Day, had the courage to hire the same catering company, however this time the company had done a much better job and guests enjoyed the variety of dishes going around all through the night along with delicious Greek wine.
