Lebanon celebrates the 66^th Anniversary of Lebanon’s Independence

On the occasion of the 66^th Anniversary of Lebanon’s Independence, Chargé d’Affairé's Wajib Abdel Samad and his elegant wife Rola El Doueik hosted a reception at Park Hotel.

Even though Lebanon has been represented in Turkey by Chargé d’Affairé's since June 2007, it was easy to see how popular Lebanon and her representative, the Samad couple is in Ankara, as most prominent figures of the community were present at the even.

The Government was represented by Health Minister Prof. Dr. Recep Akdag and Chief Advisor in Charge of Middle East Affairs of President Gül, Erşat Hürmüzlü.   Except many Turkish friends of the hosts, many Ambassadors including the Ambassador of France, Germany, Sudan, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Chile, Slovenia, Latvia, Ethiopia, Vatican, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Slovakia and Canada were present.  Also some countries like United Kingdom, Morocco, Oman, Tunisia, Yemen, Libya, India and Croatia were represented by their Deputy Head of Missions.

Guests during the event had a chance to enjoy world known dishes such as “tabbouleh” prepared by the Embassy for the occasion.
