Venezuela celebrates National Day

On the occasion of the National Day of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ambassador Raul Betancourt Seelad and his wife Carol Patricia hosted a reception at Park Hotel.

Ambassador Seelad greeted guests at the gate with his wife Carol Patricia along with the Second Secretary of the Embassy Marbelis Coromoto Linarez Sanchez.   Ambassadorial couple's pretty  daughter Mariela Antonieta who studies at the German School in Ankara and their son Raul Eduardo, who is a University student in Cuba studying Social Studies and who is here on a visit, had joined their parents during the celebration.

While all Ambassadors of Latin American countries were present, many Heads of Missions and their deputies also attended the event.    Abdulkadir Aksu, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Political Affairs and Syriac Orthodox bishop of Adiyaman Melki Urek were the centers of attention at the reception.

Despite the unexpected rain, the event went on in a warm and festive atmosphere, with the live band playing Latin songs all through the night.
