Opening of the New Embassy Building

of the State of Palestine

Presidents of Turkey & Palestine Open New Embassy Building

 

A ceremony followed by a reception hosted by Palestinian Ambassador Nabil Maarouf took place, on the occasion of the official opening of the new building of the Embassy of the State of Palestine, under the auspices of Abdullah Gul, President of the Republic of Turkey and Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine.

 

Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Malki, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Mohammed Nasser Al Wohaibi, almost all Heads and Chargé d'Affaires of Diplomatic Missions, President of TOBB Rifat Hisarciklioglu, The Undersecretary of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ertugrul Apakan, The Director General of Protocol Tanju Sumer and many members of the Foreign Ministry were among the crowd.

 

President Gul and President Abbas arrived together and greeted all guests, then after planting a tree together with Ambassador of Palestine Nabil Maarouf, they all cut the ribbon and then had a tour around the brand new embassy.

 

After the departure of President Gul, President Abbas once again greeted and talked with Heads of Diplomatic Missions.
