Reception at the

Swedish Residence

And EU Presidency goes to Sweden…..

To mark the start of  EU Term Presidency of Sweden, Ambassador Christer Asp hosted a reception in his beautiful garden.

For a very long time the social community had not witnessed such a high participation. Center of attraction of the event were State Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bağış and CHP Chairman Deniz Baykal.    Also his deputy Onur Öymen, member of the Central Administrative Board of CHP, Murat Karayalçin, Head of Women-Men Equality Committee Guldal Aksit, Head of EU Harmonization Committee Yasar Yakis,  Head of Foreign Relations Committie of TGNA Suat Kırıklıoğlu, DP Chairman Ufuk Soylemez, Head of the Council of State Mustafa Birden, Head of the Higher Education Council Ziya Özcan, AK Party Deputies, Rector of the Middle East Technical University Professor Ahmet Acar, Dean of Çankaya University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences Professor Emel Doğramacı, almost all Heads of Missions of the EU countries, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Mohammed Nasser Al-Hamami and many AMAC members were present.

After a speech delivered by Ambassador Asp, guests enjoyed the traditional dishes prepared by guest Chef Johan Gavelin and his assistant Peter Eriksson.   Gavelin was invited to Turkey for the event from Ostersand, Sweden, where he owns a “Food&Wine” company.
