WHO IS MESUT SİLİNDİR?

 

Mesut Silindir finished his apprenticeship near his father and Kebap world recorded his name in golden letters.

After his father’s death, Mesut Silindir took his father’s kebap restaurant over, enlarged his business, and today he is known as the ‘master of chefs’.

In time, he became famous all over Turkey and his restaurant turned out to be such a popular place that not only the habitants of Adana or the visitors but also the famous people frequent this restaurant.

Sami Silindir,the son of Mesut Silindir is also a cook and he is proud of having grown up near his father. When talking about his father, he says: ‘ He had the most delicious meat. He used to do the work on his own, that now 10 chefs can do.He used to cut the meat finely with two knives and today not many people can use this method. He used to cook kebap with natural ingredients and now we use the same method.

               

 

 


 

Since primary school, we learned our job near him. We used to watch him and understand the hints of making Kebap. We have grown up like this and lots of other chefs learned this business near my father. ‘ Sami Silindir, who emphasizes that ‘chicken shish kebap’ was the discovery of his father, begins to explain: ‘ One day there were fragments of chicken at the restaurant. My father cut this chicken in small chucks. He prepeared its sauce and tomato paste, cooked the chicken and than ate. He liked the taste and called this meal ‘chichen shish’.

Mesut Silindir, who was famous for his varieties of kebap and unique taste, passed away at the age of 56.
